And the fake winky-blinky LED light doesn't work. Camera came within a few days. And the fake door for the fake batteries is a pain in the neck. Seemed rugged enough at first. Then the little fake cable popped out of the fake base. Having to hold onto two tiny screws while perched on a ladder 25' in the air while changing batteries is not fun.but that's ok because the fake LED doesn't work anyway so I'll never have to change batteries. And the fake camera moves too easily in the fake mounting bracket.Too bad they don't take fake money for it.Oh well, perhaps criminals will be stupid enough to fall for it.
Augmented our real security cameras with this one. People noticed. It appears very real.
Brand new, out of the box, and LED does not flash. Too much trouble to send back to Amazon.com.Kevin
In fact this is the housing for a genuine security camera sold by the same company. We have all seen burglars, robbers, and other criminals caught in the act of being bad. So I would like to state the, "why", of purchasing a camera. All I needed was a screwdriver.
They are looking for any sign of absent tenants, burglar alarms, dogs, or worst case - cameras. First let me say that I have a background in law enforcement that includes burglary investigations. I can't tell the difference. Any good burglar knows a blinking light on a camera is a sure sign it is not real. The apprehension rate is high and conviction rate even higher.I don't know about you, but I would much rather a burglar or home invasion criminal judge my house as too high the risk and just move on to another home that has no apparent protection.
And installation was a piece of cake. I personally haven't used the decals either. Burglars typically "case", a neighborhood, looking for an soft target before choosing which home to enter. Everything else I needed was included in the box, including the 3 screws. With the current economic recession where I live in San Diego we have have seen a significant increase in burglaries and thefts in our upscale neighborhood.
These,"cameras", are very realistic looking. BOTTOM LINE: Looks like the eyes of an expensive security system (over $1,000) for $30.ADVICE: Don't bother with batteries for the blinking light. They are just not realistic looking.
camera was received promptly and was as described on the detailed description. easy to install and looks like the real thing.
